Proudly providing a patient-friendly environment and cost effective care to Bay County residents since 2004.
The Surgical Center for Excellence, LLLP (SCE) provides ambulatory surgery services to the inhabitants of Bay County, Florida and the surrounding areas regardless of race, color, age, sex, sexual orientation, religion, marital status, disability, national origin or socioeconomic status. Services are provided for pediatric through geriatric patients and include Otolaryngology, Orthopaedic, Plastic, Podiatry, GYN, Pediatric Dentistry and Oral Surgery, to name a few. All procedures that are done at SCE are elective.
Surgical Center for Excellence, LLLP was established in 2004 by a group of physicians. The requirements for licensure as a free standing ambulatory surgery center issued by the State of Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) was completed in January 2005 and in July of 2005, Surgical Center for Excellence, LLLP was awarded its first three year term accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Accreditation is a voluntary process through which an organization is able to measure the quality of its services and performance against nationally recognized standards. The accreditation process involves self-assessment by the organization, as well as a thorough review by the Accreditation Association’s expert surveyors, who themselves have extensive experience in the ambulatory health care environment.
The surgery center’s design includes two operating rooms, a procedure room and separate preoperative and postoperative areas. Patients prefer the surgery center to a hospital setting because of less waiting time, more convenient location and parking, patient-friendly environment, welcoming family involvement and cost effective care. Local, monitored and general anesthesia are available and provided according to the specific needs of the patient and proposed procedure.
